Social media plays a vital role throughout out the world today. Some companies may know how to integrate social media throughout their advertising and marketing campaigns, whereas some might be completely clueless. Therefore, this blog will help explain three effective guidelines that will help safeguard your media marketing plans and allow them to be aligned with the company’s marketing strategy.
1. Focus on making sure the company’s messages and strategies suit each other. It is important to make sure that when a company does this, they do not counteract each other

The web attracts a complete different audience than what traditional marketing ads would. Companies always focus on the target audience and try to match their ad with where the customers will see it. The social web allows anything to happen; therefore, it is undetermined where a company’s ad will be viewed and shared by. This gives the audience power to develop their personal views and potentially develop a bond with the product.
Integrating social media into any business is difficult. I've experienced that with my own internship. Like Nicole's article says, "adapt the message to fit the channel." I completely agree. It's important to use social media in a way that will benefit the company goal. For instance, I use social media at my internship to market job openings. One way we've integrated social media is by placing a Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter button on every job posting so anyone can share them.

This allows them to engage with the company however they please. They can then understand the brand to a higher degree then by merely seeing it. Engaging with material always leaves a deeper impact on an individual. Since technology is impacting our lives more each day, by using social media, a company will be able to increase the size of its target audience, which will hopefully increase profit for that company.
